Sabbats - Litha

Litha is the mid-summer sabbat, usually celebrated around the summer solstice. This is also the final Sabbat post!

Litha (pronounced Lee-thu) is most commonly celebrated around June 21st. It is a celebration of the summer solstice, which is also the longest day. It’s a celebration of the sun and everything that it brings with it.

Some activities for Litha include; baking a honey cake, decorating cakes and bakes with flowers and herbs, cloud divination, gardening and watering plants, and planning personal growth.

The correspondences for Litha are;

Deities - Gaia, Aphrodite, Venus, Hera

Herbs - Mugwort, chamomile, rose, honeysuckle, yarrow, fern, carnation

Colours - yellow, gold, white

Crystals - emerald, sunstone, citrine, tigers eye
