Dating Update - March 2025

Weird to think I’ve been single over 18 months now. This is the longest I’ve actually been single since I started properly dating in my late teens.

I figured it was probably a good time to write a wee update and let you all know how it’s been going for me. Really, there isn’t too much to say, as I am still very single.

I have had more than my fair share of being ghosted, to the point I even discussed it on my TikTok account. Like I could easily say I get ghosted on average once or twice a month! I haven’t made it past a “talking” stage yet, but I am hopeful! Currently in a talking stage (something I did not know existed until now) and I just hope he does not ghost me as well!

I have also came off all apps. I quite literally am on zero dating apps, websites or anything like that. I feel like I need to protect my peace more, and to do that effectively, I needed to be off those apps. I find the way that people really do judge you off of so little to be quite hard to deal with. And I struggle enough to put my personality across online, that doing it in so few words was even more difficult. Not to mention I preferred to open my profiles with the fact I’m a mum to three (ask me how many people still asked me if I had kids though).

I know my chances of meeting someone organically are slim to none, mainly because I only really go to things with my kids or I go out for the weekly shopping, and those are not really ideal times to meet someone new and strike up a decent conversation. Plus I still do suffer from anxiety, so there is an even lower chance that I’ll randomly strike up a conversation with someone.

But like I said before, I am hopeful that my current talking stage will work out well. We just need to get a first date planned. And with my schedule that is always difficult to do!
